Content Management

What is a Content Management System?
A Content Management System, or CMS, is a program which allows users to access various areas of their website and make changes without contacting a designer or web company. The CMS allows you and your staff to add, edit or delete pages, and in some cases, even optimize your own website.

What are the benefits of a Content Management System?
Control. Convenience. Cost.

The ability to update and add content (information) to your website anytime, from any computer with an Internet connection is a clear convenience. This removes the web company (and high maintenance fees) from the process of adding a page or making a simple change. Consequently, the firm has complete control over its site. Search engines favor websites that are consistently updated and the CMS enables the user to effectively do this. Control of your website will allow you to remain ahead of the competition.

If the ultimate goal of your website is to generate new business and cases, your site needs to attract visitors. In order to attract visitors, it needs useful and relevant content directed at your potential clients. If your site remains floating in cyberspace with static content, two things will happen – 1) No new information means no incentive for repeat visitors. 2) No new content means the search engines will lose interest in your site and it will rank poorly as a result. If potential clients do a keyword search pertaining to your practice area and they don’t find your site, you essentially do not exist.

The reason most firms squander their initial investment of time and money into their website is because they fail to maintain it, regarding it as a tedious and expensive task. Assuming the law firm understands that quality content will lead to new visitors and thus new cases, the failure to add new content is usually for the following reasons – 1) They don’t know how 2) It takes too much time 3) It costs too much money. Our Content Management System solves these issues.

Is a Content Management System Complicated to Use?
It’s not. While it is not recommended for beginning computer users, if you can use a word processing program, like Microsoft Word, or Corel’s WordPerfect, then you can use a CMS effectively.

Careful when choosing: Not all Content Management Systems are alike!
As with any product, some are better than others. There are a variety of cheap, low quality content management systems available. However, you’re website is an investment. When utilized effectively, it can make you millions of dollars. For this reason, it is important to choose a high quality CMS.

eJustice’s Content Management System was designed with an easy and familiar interface for the intermediate computer user. eJustice's CMS 4.0 also gives advanced users full control of META information, Title tags, Image editing capabilities and access to detailed statistics to quantify your efforts.
